VjVISUALOOP (Paolo VjV Branca, Milan 1981, Italy) makes audiovisual performances, videos, artworks and interactive installations. His artworks are featured with images, sounds and self-made low resolution 8bits animations.

He started making computer graphics and producing electronic music in the early 90ies. Later, he discovered the emerging 8-bit scene and vjing. So, he decided to combine his particular visual style with his passion for chiptunes sounds.

He has been participating to many events and contests since 2005. Just to mention some of them, he performed in “Milano Film Festival”, “Where is 107″ and “LABoral”.
His artworks were exposed in exhibitions like “Playlist” in Spain and Belgium, “Atopic Machinima Film Festival” in France, “Neoludica” in Biennale of Venice, and “Nam June Paik Summer Festival” in South Korea.

Presently, he makes interactive visual installations by modifying old coin-op videogames from the 80ies. He also continuously improves his performances.

VjVISUALOOP (Paolo VjV Branca, Milán 1981, Italia) realiza todo tipo de performances audiovisuales, desde video hasta material gráfico o instalaciones interactivas. Su trabajo combina animaciones creadas por el mismo en baja resolución (8bits), video y diferente material gráfico y sonoro.

Comenzó su carrera realizando gráficos para ordenador y produciendo música electrónica a principio de los 90. Hasta que poco a poco descubrió la emergente escena de los 8 bits y del vjing. Así pues, decidió combinar su particular estilo visual con su pasión por los sonidos de la música chip.

Desde 2005 ha participado en gran cantidad de eventos y concursos, como el “Milano Film Festival”, “Where is 107″ y el “LABoral”. Su trabajo ha sido mostrado en exposiciones como “Playlist” en España y Bélgica, “Atopic Machinima Film Festival” en Francia, “Neoludica” en Biennale de Venice, y “Nam June Paik Summer Festival” en Corea del Sur.

Actualmente se dedica a crear visuales instalaciones interactivas modificando antiguos videojuegos de los años 80 con el objetivo de seguir experimentando y evolucionando.
