Bas Welling (Neurobit / R10T33R / Former Descent bio)

Already known for past works in various scenes and styles like breakcore, idm, African percussions, and experimental electronics, Bas Welling also left his mark in the 8bit scene, as an artist, DJ / 8bit vinyl collector, but also as an organiser of 8 bit events such as Crackbits. Living in Tilburg (Holland) were he lives and works Bas is currently running 2 projects that are involved in the 8bit scene.

With his project Neurobit, Bas is working the experimental field of soundscapes and noises generated with game console equipment and released on well known labels like Retinascan, True Chip Till Death, Alphacut Records, Ketacore and is signed to Dutch electronics label Enfant Terrible.

Under the monikers R10T33R / Former Descent, Bas rocks the stages with more dancable, breakbeat & idm orientated tracks that brought him to countries like Russia, Lithuania, Norway, Denmark, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Belgium to play at various stages, festivals and other mostly unexpected places. In 2010 for example Bas played an 8bit live set on one of the biggest Hardstyle dance festivals called Q-Base on an old army airport in Weeze, Germany.

For R10T33R tracks Bas works mostly with Nanoloop. For Neurobit he uses a lot of different programs including Sludgeon2, Pixelh8 Music Tech Pro Performer, Nanovoice & Trippy H.

For both projects Bas delivered tracks for compilations like Chip In: Japan for True Chip Till Death (MP3), Chipbroke (CD), Guerilla Warfare (CD) and Kamp Holland (VINYL) and delivered his own records as Neurobit on 7inch vinyl and 2 8inch vinyls costum made out of plastic bottles. The first R10T33R / Former Descent EP is currently being compiled and planned for release in 2012!

Ya conocido por sus trabajos en diferentes escenas y estilos musicales como el breakcore, idm, las
percusiones africanas y la electrónica experimental, Bas Welling también dejó su marca en la escena de 8 bits. Como artista, DJ y coleccionador de vinilos de 8bits y como organizador de eventos como el Crackbits. Vive y trabaja en Tilburg (Holanda) y actualmente se encuentra trabajando en dos proyectos centrados en la escena de 8 bits.

Bajo el pseudónimo de R10T33R / Former Descent, Bas ocupa el escenario con canciones dancable, breakbeat y idm que le han permitido actuar en países como Rusia, Lituania, Noruega, Dinamarca, España, Suiza, Austria, Alemania y Bélgica. Donde ha mostrado sus habilidades en diferentes escenarios, festivales y en lugares inesperados, como un antiguo aeropuerto militar en el festival Q-Base en Weeze, Alemania.

Para las canciones de R10T33R Bas trabaja principalmente con Nanoloop. Pero para Neurobit utiliza una gran diversidad de programas como Sludgeon2, Pixelh8 Music Tech Pro Performer, Nanovoice & Trippy H.

Entre los dos proyectos Bas ha conseguido formar parte de compilacioes como Chip In: Japan for True Chip Till Death (MP3), Chipbroke (CD), Guerrilla Warfare (CD) y Kamp Holland (VINYL). Igualmente ha producido sus propios records como Neurobit en vinilos de 2 8 y 7 pulgadas provenientes de botellas de plástico. Su primer álbum con R10T33R / Former Descent se encuentra en desarrollo y será publicado en 2012!
